An Assignment Template includes the name of the client’s assignment and is linked to an Assignment Type so that the assignment properties are defined automatically. At least one assignment should be associated with a client before time or disbursements can be recorded for the client. You can either create a custom assignment template specifically for the client or attach an existing assignment template to the client.

Setting up an Assignment Template

  1. From the main menu, select File > Maintenance > Assignment > Assignment Templates.
  2. On the Assignment Templates window, in the blank row at the top of the table, enter the name of the template in the Name As cell.
  3. Enter the code in the Code As cell and select the Assignment Type from the drop down list.
  4. Select the Inactive check box if the template is to be inactive. Clear the check box to make a template active.
  5. Click OK to save the template and close the window.
