Azure Information
The information below may assist in your choice of Azure architecture and provisioning. Decisions of hardware design should be discussed with a hardware specialist to ensure you have the correct build for your requirements.
Microsoft consultants currently suggest for SQL Server(s) the Ebdsv5/Ebsv5 series as a best fit for performance and pricing. You can read more about these servers at the following link: Ebdsv5 and Ebsv5 series
Note:·
- It is advisable to consider P core processors for SQL Server instead of E core processors.
- For optimal SQL performance, it is recommended to prioritise the highest clock speed over the number of cores within your price range.
- All Servers should be bound in a Proximity Placement Group.
