Basis of Nominal Ledger Structure

The Probate Chart of Accounts (client class) is organised into account ranges that correspond to the sections in the accounts pages.

Below is a summary using V2.8 of the Probate Master Chart of Accounts.

Bringing nominal codes into the client

To bring nominal codes into the client, you will select individual codes, a range of codes or all codes.
To do so, from the Client Menu > Nominal Accounts, select Other and Copy from Master, or you may have a specific client you wish to copy from.

Highlight the codes you wish to bring into your client. A quick way to highlight all is to click on the first row and Shift–End key, click the Select button.

To print, click the Other button and Print chart, check the range, select Include sub-accounts if relevant and the extra columns you wish to include, sort usually by code, click on the Report button. From the report presented you can print or export to a file.

You can either print the nominal codes you have imported into the client, or the nominal codes in the master chart.
