CCH iFirm Job Management
Security role required: Jobs - View My Jobs
Use the Jobs tabs
The information on jobs list is organized under tabs and accessed from the Jobs page. Some jobs may be listed under more than one tab. The security roles assigned to your user profile will determine which of these tabs you can see. The following information is categorized under the topics of junior staff (limited access) and senior staff (full access).
Junior staff
| My Ordered Jobs | These are jobs that you have been allocated to and that have been moved to your priority list.
|
| Jobs Assigned to Me | Every time you are allocated to a job or you are made responsible for a job, the job is added to this list.
|
| Jobs I Worked On | All open jobs that you have entered time against, as an allocated or unallocated resource. |
Senior staff
Jobs - View All Jobs
| All Jobs | All jobs in Jobs & Billing, whether opened or closed. Closed jobs are shown with a line through them. |
| Open Jobs | Jobs that staff members have started working on and that are not closed. |
| Weekly View | View open jobs with a target end date in the week. You can filter the list of jobs displayed by Resource, Job Status, Job Type, Job Owner, Contact Partner and Contact Manager (the same filters that are in the Weekly View tab in the Jobs Due Report). |
| My Ordered Jobs | Same as Junior Staff. |
| Jobs Assigned to Me | Same as Junior Staff. |
| Jobs I Worked On | Same as Junior Staff. |
| Unallocated Jobs | Jobs that have no resources allocated to them. |
| In Progress | Jobs that are currently being worked on, and have a blue job status. |
| Completed | Jobs that staff members have completed, and have a green job status. |
| Closed Jobs | Jobs that have been closed, due to being completed and invoiced or cancelled. You cannot delete a job and any unwanted jobs have to be closed. |

Add jobs in bulk
You can bulk-create any type of job and use the range of filters to select which clients the jobs will be created for. You can narrow the list of bulk-created jobs to specific fields, for example client type, or any dynamic fields you created in Contacts.
Import WIP
To import your WIP records into CCH iFirm, you need to prepare a .csv file using the template provided in CCH iFirm. If you have several jobs on the go for a client, you can import the total WIP as a lump sum in one .csv file, and then use the WIP transfer feature in CCH iFirm to create the individual jobs. Alternatively, you can import the individual jobs but this requires multiple .csv files.

Transfer WIP within a job
You can access the WIP Transfer feature from the Job Details page, Work in Progress Centre or the Work In Progress Client Breakdown Report. There are three methods of WIP transfer to choose from.
Jobs - WIP Control
The widget displays the same data as the WIP Control Report. The data is for the month. The period for the data works like the default period for the report, with the previous month showing until the 6th day of the month, but from there on it is the current month.
