Software Enhancements

CCH iFirm Integration

.NET 10.0 upgrade

Support for .NET 8 is expected to cease around October–November 2026. This upgrade ensures the continued compatibility, security, and supportability of the iFirm integration.

The CCH Central.WS.Connector has been upgraded to require:

  • .NET 10.0 Runtime
  • ASP.NET Core 10.0 Runtime

Within this release, iFirm integration components in CCH Central now depend on .NET 10.0, and older runtime versions (including .NET 8) are no longer supported.  Firms must complete this upgrade to continue accessing CCH iFirm functionality from CCH Central.

If the runtime has not been installed, users attempting to access CCH iFirm (via the iFirm Console or product icons in CCH Central) will encounter a system message:

Installing .NET 10.0 via CSI

Upgrade to .NET 10.0 is available for installation from the Tools section when running the CSI. This must be run on every workstation that uses CCH iFirm.

Token expiry date

Tooltips

Additional guidance has been added via tooltips.  Clicking the information icon

will display a pop-up with further details for each group.

Filtering on the Sync Message and Audit Trail tab

Users can now apply filter options on both the Sync Message and Audit Trail tabs.  This provides greater flexibility when searching for a specific entry.  Click the 'Click here to filter columns'. Apply the filter and the result is displayed.  To remove the filter click the

New Data Health tab

A new tab has been introduced to allow users to trigger a manual push where an automatic migration has failed.  The manual push functionality is currently available for Address Types and their associated Address Type flags, and is expected to be expanded in future releases to support additional migration and synchronisation processes.

When opened, the Check Type drop-down is blank, and the run box is disabled.

Click the drop-down and select 'Address Types with flags not migrated' and click Run.  A list of address types from CCH Central is displayed with the corresponding flag:

Contact/Client migration

Previously, when migrating contacts or clients to CCH iFirm, the Contact Type of the record needed to match the exact ContactType description.  Some firms use customised ContactType descriptions that differ from the standard values.  This caused issues where records could not be matched correctly during migration.  The process has now been updated to use the ContactTypeId instead of the description.

Central2026.2releasenotes14.png

Note:  Any additional ContactTypeId values will not be migrated to CCH iFirm.

Quality Improvements

CCH iFirm - Editing of Address types

Previously, when an address type was renamed in CCH Central, the updated name was not reflected in CCH iFirm.

Association linkage - mismatch

It was identified that certain association relationships were incorrectly mapped during migration to CCH iFirm.

  • The "is partner of" / "has partner of" associations were incorrectly mapped to "Partner/Spouse" / "Partner/Spouse of".
  • The "is spouse of" / "has spouse of" associations were not mapped during migration.

The relationship mappings have been corrected to ensure that partner and spouse associations are migrated to their corresponding relationship types in CCH iFirm.
