    CCH IFirm: Dual Platform full readiness service

    Overview

    A specialised readiness service designed for our existing customers to carry out all* of the technical prerequisites required on their existing CCH Central environment and server to enable usage of CCH IFirm dual platform products once activated. 

    *Due to one of the prerequisites involving carrying out a task on all end user machines that access CCH Central, this service will not involve completion of end user machines, but will include up to 6 as well as demonstrating how to complete this, for customers to finish.

    Prerequisites 

    Complete the Pre-Service Questionnaire 

    Authorise access to your server and CCH environment.

    Ensure business is aware of the potential down time if this service has been purchased in hours, an out of hours.

    option is available.

    Objectives

    To ensure your environment meets the current CCH IFirm minimum speciation’s

    Including:

    The correct version of CCH Central is installed.

    The correct Microsoft files installed as required on:

    • Any Server running CCH Services for the Central system in question.

    • Any Server where the main Deploy folder resides.

    • Any end user machine where the end user is launching/using software. **

    ** This service will only include installing the Microsoft files on 6 end user machines, but demonstrations will be given so you have the knowledge required to complete the installation on all reminding machines.

     

    Service Implementation approach overview:

    CCH Update

    Pre-Update 

    • Review of current infrastructure 

    • Review of items requiring update 

    • Impact assessment to business operation 

    • Update schedule planning and key tasks allocation including backups 

    Server Side 

    • Verification of environment and prerequisites to ensure compatibility 

    • Validation of resources to optimise performance 

    • Backup planning and execution for failsafe 

    • Execution of update 

    End User Side 

    • Update of end user deployment methodology 

    • Deployment to key workstations 

    • Deployment to Terminal Server/Remote Desktop Servers 

    • Advise on and configure process to assist office wide deployment 

     

    Microsoft installation

    Pre-Update 

    • Review of current infrastructure 

    • Review of items requiring update 

    Server Side  

    • Installation of required Microsoft files required to use CCH iFirm 

    End User Side (Max 6) 

    • Installation & demonstration of required Microsoft files required to use CCH iFirm 

    Service duration

    This service will be scheduled from 0930-1630, or if out of hours from 17:30.

    CCH Central will not be accessible during this time.

    If demonstration of installation of the Microsoft files is required, the installation consultant will contact your IT department ahead of them carrying out the installation on the 6 end user machines to arrange the access required.

    Who is this service designed for?

    This service is designed for all existing customers who are onboarding on to any of our CCH iFirm dual platform products and require support in completing the technical prerequisites required to allow the connection between CCH Central and CCH iFirm.
