About AML Risk Assessment
The Risk Assessment module is part of CCH iFirm AML. It supports the assessment of the money-laundering or terrorist-financing risk that a client brings to a firm. The assessment uses a questionnaire and records an overall risk level together with an associated level of due diligence.
How to run CCH iFirm AML data checks and viewing the report
CCH iFirm AML provides a data check service for compliance with AML regulations, requiring regular execution based on firm policies. It verifies individuals' names, addresses, and dates of birth against multiple data sources and checks for politically exposed persons (PEPs), sanctions, mortality, and adverse media. Results include a pass or fail status, with detailed reports available in PDF format. The process involves minimal data entry, reducing redundancy by syncing with CCH Central information. Users also have the option to enable ongoing monitoring during the check. Failures require documentation of the associated risks.
