About Risk Assessment

The Risk Assessment module is part of CCH iFirm AML. It supports the assessment of the money-laundering or terrorist-financing risk that a client brings to a firm. The assessment uses a questionnaire and records an overall risk level together with an associated level of due diligence.

  • Risk levels shown in the walkthrough: Low, Medium and High.

  • Due-diligence outcomes discussed in the walkthrough: Simplified, Regular or Normal, and Enhanced.

  • Separate assessment content is provided for individuals and businesses or entities.

  • The initial methodology is supplied by Mercia.

Important: Your firm remains responsible for completing and applying its client risk assessment process. Follow your firm’s AML policies and procedures when answering questions and deciding the appropriate risk and due-diligence outcome.
