68261 With the latest 2025.1 a registry key is not getting created for new users. This results in the software splash screen launching but the software does not load.

Add the registry key to resolve the issue. The key is located under the following path:

May 2023 66656 Upgraded to 2023.100 the client list appears as normal and then resizes the window and zooms out the text. Once the windows is set to full size again the font size is really small ie it remains zoomed out, even when in the client

Recommendation is to set the display to 100% and the display resolution to 1680 x 1050.

If this does not work may be take a look at the KB article below to see if it helps at all.

Traveling from audit will result in the following error:

clipboard_e1ef1177a90cf0480ef85a34798df553c.png

The plugin required to load the client data for traveling is being loaded at the point that traveling is started. It is taking several minutes to load the plugin before traveling can place. After trying to travel for the first time waiting for the plugin to load and then trying to re-travel will resolve the issue.

Alternatively traveling the client from central instead. Once traveled you will be able to access the client data via logging into audit in the normal way.

Fixed in 2025.1
Sep 2022 Logging into offline mode In some scenarios the local database data path may not be set up by the software automatically. If this is the case the user will be asked to provide the database connection details the first time they try to log into the local database. Select the Server name from the drop-down list, select windows authentication and then the CCH_Offline database from the available database name drop down list.

If this is the case the user will be asked to provide the database connection details the first time they try to log into the local database. Select the Server name from the drop-down list, select windows authentication and then the CCH_Offline database from the available database name drop down list.
Sep 2022 Network at client log in When using the network at client log in the target machine's firewall must allow inbound connections for the machine to be visible on the list of available connections.
Sep 2022 Deleting a client from CCH Central When using the delete client option from CCH Central the documents attached to the audit periods are left as orphaned entries in the document database. When removing a client from central the audit periods should be removed first from audit as this will correctly delete the audit documents.

When importing a TB from CCH Accounts Production to CCH Audit Automation (SQL) by 'Update from CCH Accounts' option at Data Entry tab - only the current TB is available and the previous year TB is not imported. If you can find only current year TB and you cannot find prior year TB, then please export the TB file as a .csv file and import it into CCH Audit Automation (SQL). 2025.1
Why is there a ? sign instead of the £ sign in my lead schedule? To fix this please load the client and go to File > Control > Control Data > TB Control tab > change the sign in Reporting Currency > OK

Note: There is no fix at master pack level, each client which displays the wrong sign will need to be updated accordingly.

This document outlines the process for assessing inherent risk in clients through a systematic approach of questions. The system can store up to 99 risk areas, each containing 99 questions, which are assigned point scores for "Yes" and "No" answers. It details steps for editing, adding, and deleting risk areas and questions, including interface navigation and confirmation prompts. Additionally, it emphasizes that once numbers are assigned to risk areas or questions, they cannot be changed. The document serves as a guide for managing inherent risk assessments effectively.
Audit Risks

It provides instructions for users to add, edit, and manage risks, including features for maintaining risks for future audits, assessing their significance, and linking them to assertions. The system includes tools for risk assessment, audit response, and documenting conclusions. Other functionalities encompass risk summarization, printing options, and risk linkage across multiple sources, enhancing the audit process's efficiency and accountability.
Default Specific Risk Questions
CCH Audit Automation allows users to define specific risk questions for audit areas, although it's not mandatory. If no specific questions are set, default questions will be used. The system utilizes a lookup table that combines specific and inherent risks for audits, with editing instructions provided in the manual.
Risk/Sample Selection
This document outlines the concept of audit risk, defined as the likelihood of undetected material errors during an audit. It introduces a risk model used in Audit Automation that requires total audit risk to remain below acceptable levels across various audit areas. The risks are broken down into inherent risk, control risk, and detection risk, with further subdivisions for detection risk. It emphasizes the importance of understanding these concepts to design effective audit procedures and assess risk at different levels. Additionally, it discusses general and control environments, and the calculation of residual risk, alongside a risk scoring system.
Inherent Risks
The document outlines the procedure for addressing inherent risk questions in an audit context. Users can access a dedicated window to view up to 99 risk areas, answer questions, and modify responses as necessary. The system prompts users to validate changes to ensure proper risk assessments. It includes functionalities for viewing prior comments, copying text, and overriding calculated risk levels, emphasizing that auditor judgment is crucial. Comments on overrides must be provided to rationalize any adjustments made. The document serves as a guide for navigating and utilizing the auditing software effectively.
